About the Artist

Cave Creek artist Beth Zink has found a way to combine her passion for painting and her love for the desert. Her work is realistic, characterized by vivid color and meticulous attention to detail. This light, fresh style has been called a reflection of her personality.

For years, Beth was widely known for her golf course landscapes, including commissioned works for professional tour events, country clubs, resorts and corporations all around the country.

She now enjoys painting “vibrant contemporary botanicals,” acrylics on canvas. Beth’s boldly hued close-up images of plants and flowers seem to explode, reflecting the desert’s dramatic forms and colors. “The creative process is challenging, but ultimately joyful. You can truly say that my work is a labor of love,” Beth says. Please SEE EXAMPLES of private homes beautifully enhanced by her botanicals.

A Valley resident since 1986, Beth has fallen in love with the desert. The vivid colors of the mountains, skies and sunsets, the unique plant forms, rock formations, wild flowers and cactus blooms have enchanted her. Married with two sons, Beth grew up in Rhode Island, where she enjoyed painting and drawing as a child. She was awarded a four-year scholarship as a Rhode Island State Scholar, and earned her B.A. from Bethany College with a major in Art and a minor in Education. Then Beth began a career of many years teaching art in public and private schools. She continues to teach adult painting classes and workshops.

Beth has royalty agreements for works in print published by Bentley House Licensing Group, San Francisco, and Saga Card Company, Oklahoma. Her work hangs in a number of private and corporate collections around the country, including the new Scottsdale Healthcare Thompson Peak Hospital lobby.

She is active in the community, donating her time and paintings to several charities and has served as an event chair and board member of Creative Women of Pinnacle Peak, Sonoran Arts League and Terravita Art League.

Beth is represented by Blue Heron Fine Art, Wellfleet, Massachusetts (www.blueheronfineart.com), and Tubac Territory of Tubac, Arizona.
